Hope on a Rope

I've seen this somewhere before.

For Obama supporters.

Small-Print Tutorial - Keeping Hope Alive

Are you an aging community organizer with a smooth line in empty platitudes, no private sector experience, no understanding of economic issues and a keen nose for tokenistic opportunities? Run for President! Here's how.

Go the the GIMP plug-in registry at registry.gimp.org/node/14291, download elsamuko's script elsamuko-obama-hope.scm. Copy the script to your GIMP scripts directory:

Windows XP - C:\Documents and Settings\<UserName>\.gimp-2.6\scripts
Vista & Windows 7 - C:\Users\<UserName>\.gimp-2.6\scripts

(If GIMP is already open, you should re-start here so the script is picked up.)

Now find a picture of yourself looking Hopey-Changey and edit in GIMP in the usual way.

To run the script, click <Filters><Artistic><Obama Hope>.

We normally give the script a helping hand by stripping out background patterns and painting over the clothes in flat colors beforehand. You may also find that the script works better on black&white images (<Colors><Desaturate><Average>).

So easy, even John McCain could do it.

  4. Sucioooo- good advice to get rid of the captcha! it is annoying to have to type in the word verification!

Like the first picture- you should include something about captcha in your campaign! You inspire more hope than the hope McCain does, that's for sure! :P

  19. Nah, I'm good... not interested in running for president. If I wanted to be hated for every action I do, I'd rather become a terrorist; at least I'd have some fun before I die.
